[All Saints' Twentys and Thirties:34] This Saturday morning - TNT trip to the Micah 6 Food Pantry

Please join the Twenties and Thirties group on Saturday November 4 for a morning of service at the Micah 6 food pantry. We will meet in the All Saints parking lot at 9:00 am and will travel together (walk or carpool) to the Micah 6 food pantry at University Baptist Church on Guadalupe at 22nd street.

The pantry is like a very small grocery store - our work may include unloading food and stocking shelves, assisting recipients with shopping and bagging, and helping clean up and shut down after everyone is done shopping. Our service to Micah 6 is *very* important - the pantry is entirely dependent on volunteers. When we get to the pantry we will begin with a brief tour and orientation meeting, and we will work until the pantry closes at 11:30am.

I think this is an opportunity worthy of both our time and effort. I hope to see you there.

Joey

"The Micah 6 food pantry is a ministry that helps low-income individuals and families meet their most basic need for food and sustenance. Recipients of the food pantry come from many walks of life: some have mental and physical disabilities, some are burdened with addictions, some are undocumented immigrants with families who do not qualify for government assistance, and some have unexpectedly experienced unemployment or other crisis and are unable to provided food for their families. Our volunteers serve with a spirit of compassion and maintain a positive atmoshpere of fellowship, understanding, dignity, respect, and hope." - Micah 6 Website
